Profile
Veterinary student in semester 9 of the 11-semester DVM programme at the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest (UniVet), English programme. Clinical exposure across small animal medicine, equine, farm animals, surgery and emergency/critical care, including a 30-day ICU externship at a referral centre and 108 hours of voluntary ward and ICU shifts. Twelve cases written up. Builds automation and native applications alongside coursework, and consistently looks for the step in a clinical or academic workflow that is wasting time.

Internal Medicine & ICU — rotation and voluntary shifts
Semesters 7–8UniVet Budapest — Clinical Curriculum & Small Animal Hospital
Required clinical rotation in systematic diagnostic approach, case workup, laboratory interpretation, and management of acute and chronic systemic disease. Went beyond the rotation with extracurricular overnight and weekend shifts in the Small Animal Hospital's internal medicine ward and ICU — roughly 108 hours across semesters 7–8: hospitalised patient monitoring and treatment administration, IV catheter and infusion care, 24-hour ICU surveillance, oxygen therapy, and client communication within strict scope-of-practice limits. Counted as a supplementary grade component in the internal medicine final examination.
Mobile Clinic Rotation
Semester 7UniVet Budapest — Field Curriculum
Required field rotation providing veterinary care to small animals outside the university clinic setting — house calls, farm visits and community cases. Developed independent clinical decision-making and client communication in uncontrolled field environments.
Volunteer Clinical Placements
Between years 3 and 4Small-animal clinic and farm-animal veterinary service, Israel
One month of volunteer clinical work across a small animal clinic and a farm animal veterinary service, undertaken during the summer break between years 3 and 4 — separate from the ICU externship above.
Pre-Veterinary Emergency Experience
Volunteer Emergency Ambulance Medic
2011 – 2015Magen David Adom (MADA), Israel — human emergency medical service
Completed MADA medic certification in 2011, followed by three years of active volunteer service. Responded to trauma, cardiac and psychiatric emergencies. Performed CPR and life-saving intervention at road traffic accidents, managed suspected spinal injuries, and de-escalated acute psychological distress in the field. Built the ability to stay composed and decide quickly under real time-pressure — a foundation that carries directly into emergency veterinary work.
Technical Skills
Scripting & automation
Python and Bash automation for workflow optimisation — data processing, file management and elimination of repetitive tasks.
Native application development
Native macOS and iOS apps in Swift and SwiftUI outside of coursework — a home-lab dashboard (VMs, remote devices, encrypted cloud sync), a media toolkit wrapping ffmpeg for stream diagnostics, and a native media player replacing a slower Electron app.
Knowledge & study systems
Pipeline organising recorded lectures and course materials by subject and feeding them into NotebookLM as structured sources; I've helped classmates set up the same thing. Used for study, revision and admin only — never for clinical decision-making.
Network administration
Self-built and managed network — segmentation, DNS, backups, remote access and infrastructure.
